So Comicon is upon us and its time to get the session info out to everyone...
here's the deal for this year.....
As we were unable to secure the Marriot ( our usual digs ) we
were forced to find a new spot or rather spots for this years Jam. Luckily for the
sessions we have friends in San Diego! Hell yes "I LOVE YOU SAN DIEGO!"
so this year the Sketchbook Session Drawing Jam Part will be held
at MONDO GELATO and at a neighboring open space..
Mondo Gelato is located at 10th and J street just about .7 miles from the convention center or about a 10 - 15 minute walk, not bad at all
address:435 10th Ave
San Diego, CA 92101
..soo the spots were super affordable and we can have music and bring in snacks( or you could show some appreciation by supporting mondo gelato and purchase some gelato which will probably be delicious and wonderful as it does get hot in San Diego) and have space to draw
ALSO there are 2 or 3 BARS for those of us who want to roll out and grab a couple drinks right next door and across the street
It will be held on
SATURDAY JULY 25th from 7:30pm-1am
ONE MORE THING... SPACE is very LIMITED this year unfortunately.. this is the ONLY bad part.. we will be able to
contain about 90 artists maybe a few more is all.. in past years the number has surpassed 300 and we have
taken over the Marriot, we dont have that option this year unfortunately.
I want to thank EVERYONE who has ever come through the Session and said hello sat a spell and drawn with us.
You have taken one guys dream and made it a reality, for anyone who doesn't know I started this with 6 people sitting at my house in Northridge Ca. in 2001
and have seen it grow and become something MUCH bigger than I ever imagined and I am humbled and thankful for all
the blessings and WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIPS that have come from it.
Super thanks... and Mad Love

Sketchbook Session Founder
PS Please pass the Info on .. thanks Friends
I Love to draw, and I do so every day for hours and hours at a time at work and on personal stuff when I get home. This is where some of the stuff I "can " show you ends up.
